    WDN Architecture is designing a new ENERGY STAR rated 6,000 square foot home in Oak Park. This entirely new structure will utilize green technologies throughout 3 stories of living space.
    These technologies include:

  • High efficiency appliances and fixtures and a highly efficient building envelope, all contributing to the ENERGY STAR rating. 
  • A 2,100 gallon basement tank to hold ground water which will be used for site irrigation.
  • Solar Energy for hot water and supplemental electricity.
  • Geothermal heating and cooling.
  • The existing house was deconstructed and recycled, diverting over 80% of the materials from landfills.
